Serpentine!

Accomplishments

Marketing/Renaming things: 7 hours
Crippler on body particles: 2 hours
Unit Spawning particles: 4 hours
Tower building particles: 5 hours
total: 18

particles:


the particles can look like any mesh we want, they form a cracked looking ground and then all move up to take on the shape of the tower. The tower model is then instantiated and the blocks disappear (covered by dust)




Next Steps

Either make the above effect look pretty, or move on to other particles. Also, pick up some coding knowledge so I can create more elaborate particle systems.


Debrief

Week was packed and I feel like we'll need to pick up the pace if we want to get this thing looking good by GDC. That being said, when we don't spend 5+hours trying to rename the game only to stick with the original title, I think we'll have more time to spend on efforts towards tangible results.
