Short and simple. We presented, we met, we conquered. I was doing my own thing since it's more R&D but have seen some of the concept art and am excited to see the possible progression into modeling for next week. Can I get a Whale Yeah?!
What I Did
So far I have been working mainly on R&D and creating guides. I have a gotten the Maya 2015 guide up for viewing (Still need the dang screenshots >_<). I have also started exploring the particle system that our team purchased, and it is going to take a little to fully grasp everything (as was to be expected). I also recently have been looking into batch textures and as far as tutorials are concerned, my go to site (good old Digital Tutors) has failed me so I am hoping that I can find something on CG cookie.What I'm Gonna Do
Continue R&D with particles and batch textures. I also need to check the task list again to see which models I am assigned so I know when I need to jump into MayaNext Steps
I plan to have a guide detailing batch textures up by Thursday of this week so that all of the texture artists can read and familiarize themselves with it.Debriefs Not Deboxers
I was shocked by the lack of DT tutorials on batch textures and am slightly bummed since they are my Gods (sorta) and am going to have to, for all of you insanity people, Dig Deeper (+10 to like the one person who got that horrid joke)!
That aside I'm actually a little more pumped to be working on this project and love my team's love for this project. They are just radiating excitement!
