One Step Forward and Another Step Back

This week we made a lot more progress on the Tank lines. The tank unit was approved so it's in production and the rest of the line is underway in design. The rush has been set back again because we did not like the compromised design. I was able to keep up with my assigned deadlines for tasks until that step back was decided upon, but it's for the better of our game. Better now than later.

Debrief

This week went really well compared to the last couple in terms of progress of made. Jonathan stepped up his game in responding to Concept Art for timely and descriptive feedback. Anna also implemented a buddy system for people to feel more comfortable about reaching out to another team member for help or anything at all. Jonathan is my buddy for Limah, Limon, Lemon, so he gets a lot of nudges from me for feedback when I post about my Drive updates. Since I'm still swamped but moving forward with concept art, Kai-lin also is doing a great job of managing rigging and monitoring if weight painting needs to be picked up when a concept artist has a lot on his or her plate. We also worked on concept art during our meetings which helped push things forward faster too and clarify design issues and opinions. We also started thinking about branding with Alex kickstarting brainstorming ideas and having everyone have fun sketching out logo ideas.

As for me, I'm working on finishing up the Tank line as soon as I can while starting up on Support and redesigning Rush after we had a talk that we did not like the design that had been pushed through because we kept compromising. Look forward to something much better than what you've seen up until now.
