Whaling Away at a Tank...Fixing Some UVs

The team is starting to crank out orthographs and I'm happy to say that we are going into the modeling stage. Augher has a shiny set of texture maps, and I finally feel like we are pushing pipeline things through at a good pace.

What I Did

I fixed the UVs of Augher and combined the different parts of the models that would be the same material together. I also re UVed the kamikaze unit and super unit and combined the parts of the mesh the same way that I did with Augher. I also used the orthographs that were provided by Desiree for the tank unit, and made great progress on the model. I initially started the process using ZSpheres in ZBrush which worked really well until I experienced an unknown bug and ZBrush kept crashing so I decided to just model it in Maya. I wish I would have been able to finish, but I was away at a seminar from 9am-10pm Friday Saturday and Sunday, and the orthographs were only finished on Friday.

Augher UV fix: 1.5 hour
Kamikazi U&SU UV fix: 4 hours 
Tank U modeling: 4 hours
Total hours spent this week: 9.5 hours

What I'm Going To Do 

Finish the modeling of the tank unit and proceed to the next phases after receiving feedback from the rigger, UV any model that reaches the third phase, and texture any Uved model that I am assigned.

I am happy with the amount of hours I got in, but am sad to say that the seminar got in my way in terms of progress. From all of the updates I see on facebook the team seems to really be moving forward which is awesome!
