It's a new sprint!
Producing Things
Model Sniper Unit (4 hours)
Model Rush Unit (2 hours)
- Schedule meeting with Kai-Lin for Mecanim
- Meeting was scheduled but canceled due to Kai-Lin's schedule
Update Gantt chart (1 hour)
- Analysis document (1 hour)
- This document aggregates the hours logged on this website, the amount of tasks done, etc. to give a clear metric-driven picture of how much work each team member is doing.
- Give feedback to Alex's documentation (1 hour)
- Alex put together a document detailing distribution. The document he submitted to me was put in more of a note format. I made a copy of the document and set up the formatting with proper headings, protocols, etc. so Alex can format his future documents as so.
- Troubleshoot Sniper Unit with Jonathan and Kai-Lin (0.5 hour)
- While the sniper design was amazingly done by Henderson, there were some issues with anatomy that I needed solved. Rather than having joints down the leg, we modeled the quad and knee as one giant rock mass and the "ankle" as the clay. See below.
- GUI (4 hours)
- As part of Dylan's request, I started looking into designing the GUI. Because the documentation website is out of date for NGUI, I had to look up a lot of tutorials and just jump right in. Also, coming up with a design with no constraints is quite difficult. So I just went at it. See below.
Meetings
Meeting times do not usually count towards the total hours completed for the week but this week, here is the extra meeting I attended:
- Meeting with programmers (1 hour)
Proof of Progress

Video Tutorials

- GUI in Illustrator (top) and in Unity (bottom)
Foreseeing the Future
- Model things and put those things into Unity
- According to the deadlines I set at the beginning of this sprint (I actually shouldn't be using this term), I should be modeling many things but I haven't received more finalized concept art for them yet...
- Learn how to use Mecanim
- More GUI development
- Logo design
- Preparing trip details for the team
- Update Gantt chart
